Principals
Joseph M. Torres
Joseph M. Torres is currently Co-Founder of JMT Mortgage Consulting, LLC, specializing in advising in mortgage companies in business strategy and operations planning. Prior to founding JMT Mortgage Consulting, Mr. Torres was President of Residential Home Funding, a mortgage banking firm in the tri-state area. Mr. Torres was also a founder of Provident Mortgage Company, a subsidiary of Provident Financial Services. From 1990-2000, Mr. Torres was President and Chief Executive officer of First Residential Mortgage Corp. a mortgage originator in Passaic County that primarily serviced the Hispanic population. These businesses continue to florish today largely due to Mr. Torres' guidance and expertise.
Mr. Torres has spent his career working in the mortgage banking industry. He began his career in the mortgage division at Citibank and since then has worked his way to senior positions at various large thrift institutions. Mr. Torres has served on various mortgage banking related committees such as Chase Manhattan Mortgage Advisory Board, HUD Advisory Board, Washington D.C. and various MBA/NJ business committees.
Mr. Torres is a graduate of the City University of New York.
Angela Sacco Torres
Mrs. Sacco Torres is currently a partner in JMT Mortgage Consutling, Inc., a specialist firm in the mortgage industry. Prior to her role at JMT Consulting, Mrs. Sacco Torres was a member of the Chairman's staff at Lehman Brothers, a global investment bank. Mrs.Sacco Torres is currently the Vice President of the Upper Saddle River Board of Education, an elected position. She is chairperson of the negotiations committee and a member of the finance committee.
Mrs. Sacco Torres was a founding member of the Upper Saddle River Educational Foundation, an organization dedicated to enhancing the education of the Upper Saddle River school district. She served as the organization's first president, from 2003-2005. From 1990 to 2004, Mrs. Sacco Torres served on the board of the Dorothy Rodbell Cohen Foundation for Sarcoma Research, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising money for cancer research.
